The brand new Visalia Recovery Center offers a beacon of hope to residents in California’s South Valley Area in and around Visalia. They’re expanding local access to addiction treatment services.
The grand opening took place on East Caldwell Avenue and staffers are ready to integrate the latest mental health and drug recovery techniques for folks.
Addressing Drug and Alcohol Addiction in Visalia
Visalia Recovery Center CEO Nolen Burchett asserts the area has long had a critical need for a facility of this kind. He noted that the grand opening is a full-circle moment and a “dream come true.”
“Visalia doesn’t have any other private treatment services,” says Burchett. “It’s a need for this community. We all know how bad drug addiction and alcoholism has affected this community.” The new center’s multifaceted approach to addiction therapy can accommodate any individual’s preferences and needs.
Drug Rehab in the San Joaquin Valley
Visalia Recovery Center boasts a greater capacity for up to 25 to 30 clients at a time. This is a significant improvement from the previous capacity of 10 to 15 clients at its former 2,000 square foot location. “Now we’ve essentially tripled our capacity,” says Burchett.
Support is available to clients aged 18 and older with expanded services and a greater number of counseling rooms, a group room and offices for clinical staff.
Programs extend to aftercare and other continuing services even after clients graduate and head back to their daily routines.
The center operates alongside neighboring facilities such as Ascend and Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health. This new cluster of healthcare companies ensures help is available to clients of all ages including kids and teens.
Partial hospitalization programming (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are readily available to offer structured addiction treatment options without full residential stays.
Behavioral Health Professional Supporting Recovery
The opening gala also promises a more varied team of professionals providing treatment to the community. Dr. Jason Christopherson is the Vice President of Pediatric Services.
He observed, “It’s going to be people who are mental health professionals as well as people who are training to be child psychiatrists as well as individuals who specialize in group facilitation or case management.”
