If you’re looking for a rehab center that can help you manage your drug or alcohol addiction, look no further than Immanuel Psychiatric Associates. As part of the CHI Health system, Immanuel Psychiatric Associates has the support of some of the best psychiatrists and doctors in the field.

This facility is licensed by the state of Nebraska as well as The Joint Commission, meaning that you’ll receive only the highest quality evidence-based care while attending outpatient therapy sessions here.

Because Immanuel Psychiatric Associates is a mental health clinic and not a dedicated substance abuse clinic, it’s the perfect place for you to receive treatment for dual diagnosis. Many people struggle with addiction in addition to anxiety disorder, mood disorders, personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, adjustment disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, panic disorder, schizophrenia, or post-traumatic stress disorder. At this clinic, you’ll be able to receive treatment for the underlying mental conditions that might be causing you to take drugs or alcohol.

While there’s countless drugs out there that people can become addicted to, Immanuel Psychiatric Associates can handle them all. Some of the drugs that they have worked against in the past include heroin, cocaine, prescription drugs, meth, bath salts, morphine, Percocet, fentanyl, and crack.

This clinic takes a number of different kinds of payment to make it easier for you to afford treatment. They accept private insurance from companies like Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and more. They will also accept Medicaid, Medicare, and plans from the Affordable Care act. Of course, if you don’t have insurance, self-payment is always an option as well.

Immanuel Psychiatric Associates is conveniently located right along the Sorensen Parkway inside the CIH Health Immanuel Medical Center. It’s just northwest of downtown Omaha near the I-680 loop, meaning you’ll have easy access to treatment no matter what part of the city you live in. While it’s located next to a shopping plaza, the location is quiet enough to offer you a reflective peace-of-mind before and after your treatments.

With intensive outpatient programs and more traditional outpatient counseling, you’ll quickly be on your way to living a sober lifestyle thanks to the help of Immanuel Psychiatric Associates.

The Immanuel Psychiatric Associates is located inside the CHI Health Immanuel building, meaning that you’ll have access to a full-service hospital just in case you ever overdose while in treatment. In the rare instance that you do require hospitalized treatment, you will also benefit from the Specialty Spine Hospital and Hospitality House that lets out-of-town families stay for free while their loved one is in the hospital.

Also located inside the hospital is a cafeteria, which is the perfect place to score a meal before or after your session. The cafeteria is open for breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It’s right on the first floor, so from the lobby, all you have to do is take the elevator down a level and turn left.

If you’re paying for your sessions in cash, the on-site ATM might also be of use. It’s located just outside the cafeteria on the lower level.

As for the clinic itself, it is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the facility, which means you’ll have to leave your cigarettes in the car.

To make sure you stay clean, the clinic offers a number of special testing services. One of these methods is a breath analyzer or blood alcohol test to make sure you’re avoiding drinks. If drugs are your vice of choice, you might be subjected to a drug urine screening to make sure that you haven’t relapsed. While these tests might seem irksome at first, keep in mind that they are important tools for your recovery. By providing the incentive to pass, the tests keep you from using so that you won’t consider yourself a failure.

Additionally, if you have a hearing disability, you’ll be welcome at this clinic. It has a number of services for the deaf and hard of hearing to make it easier for them to get the therapy, counseling, and medication management they need for recovery.

Because Immanuel Psychiatric Associates focuses on dual diagnosis cases, much of the treatment focuses on finding the source of drug use and working to fix that as well as the addiction. It is possible and even encouraged to get treatment for both addiction and another mental illness at the same time. Otherwise, if you only get treatment for one, the other might continue to be a problem.

The outpatient therapy services offered at Immanuel Psychiatric Associates include intervention counseling, family treatment, outpatient chemical dependency treatment, outpatient chemical dependency continued care, and outpatient relapse treatment. These sessions can be either individual or group in nature. In one-on-one care, you’ll talk with a counselor directly about your issues. It’s a great time to focus on your goals and objectives and how you’re meeting them as time progresses. Group therapy is great for sharing stories about your recovery and bonding with other former addicts.

Each type of therapy works to explore different methods of maintaining sobriety and abstinence from drug or alcohol use. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, you’ll learn new coping skills to help you avoid triggers that might cause you to use. You’ll also learn how to alter your patterns of thought so that your behaviors no longer lead you in the direction of drugs.

In particular, intervention counseling seeks to alert you to the true dangers of your drug or alcohol abuse. You might not be fully aware of the problems this addiction has caused in your life, so an intervention with close family members will help you realize it.

Family therapy, on the other hand, is a way for your loved ones to learn more about addiction. They will attend therapy sessions with you and together, you can talk about ways to offer more support during this difficult process.

In addition to these types of counseling, the clinic also offers medication for your psychiatric disorder. It doesn’t, however, offer methadone or buprenorphine as a form of maintenance therapy. Therefore, if you are intending to rely on this method of treatment, you should probably find an additional clinic for this aspect of your recovery.

Immanuel Psychiatric Associates offers treatment for both men and women at its facility. However, there is no gender-specific treatment available. There is a special program for adolescents, however. Because adolescents require more in-depth care than an adult, this program focuses on the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of the young person. Care will be provided in a holistic manner in order to help the child cope better at home.

Families are an important part of adolescent care, as any dysfunction at home can cause the young person to begin using again. In order to prevent this, family therapy is a must in the adolescent program. Other treatment modalities used for children who abuse substances include art therapy and psychiatric evaluations. The adolescent may receive care in a family, group, or individual setting depending on their needs. They’ll also be referred to a community support group in order to help them learn more life skills to prevent them from turning back to drugs when things get hard.

Dual addiction is the other specialty at Immanuel Psychiatric Associates. To evaluate the risk of dual diagnosis, a psychiatrist will determine whether or not you have been self-medicating in an effort the numb the symptoms of a mental illness. For example, many people with post-traumatic stress disorder experience anxiety and panic. Taking a drug like opioids help to mellow out these fears, giving them a pleasurable high instead. After identifying that this is the problem, the counselor will work to treat both illnesses at once. Just treating the addiction means that the mental illness will just cause the patient to relapse. Meanwhile, just treating the mental illness won’t account for the habits and mindset that the patient has developed while on drugs.

One of the ways Immanuel Psychiatric Associates provides care for dual diagnosis is through the 12-step model. These programs, such as Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous, help a patient take small steps in their recovery each week with the guidance of a higher power. Another approach is trauma-informed care, in which the patient discusses any traumatic experiences with their counselor in an effort for them to be validated and to help them heal emotionally.

I have suffered from depression all of my life. It led to some very bad decisions on my part including trying various drugs and alcohol to try and make things better. Unfortunately, things got really bad at one point and I realized that I needed help. After trying to stop on my own, I finally found Immanuel Psychiatric. Shortly after contacting Immanuel Psychiatric, I was seen by a psychiatrist and a drug addiction counselor who helped me realize that the depression was probably the cause of my addiction.

They treated both the depression and drug addiction at the same time. I didn’t have to go to two different places to get the treatment I needed. Their staff was great and made me feel like I mattered to them. The personalized treatment I received and the kindness that they offered helped me to stay on track during withdrawal and recovery. If you have a mental health problem and a drug addiction, Immanuel is the place to go. They helped me with all aspects of my physical and mental health.

The day that my family left me was the day, I decided I needed help so I called Alegent Health Psychiatric Associates. I knew I needed help before but this was the last straw. So I sucked up the courage and called. I expected a clinical voice making me an appointment but instead I found a caring, compassionate human on the other end of the line. They asked me some questions and through my answers found me the best doctor and program they had.
In my case I suffered from depression for years and it was mostly untreated. I self medicated with drugs and alcohol in order to feel better. This is what led me to my addiction. The people at Alegent were able to show me a better way. They offered me a mental health evaluation as well as an addiction evaluation to make sure I got the right treatment for what was actually wrong with me.

I was at the point where I would do anything to make the pain stop. I didn’t know why I was in pain or what was going on but I started taking drugs and for a while it helped but then things kept getting worse. I knew I had to do something so I called Alegent. I talked to them for quite a while before I decided to make an appointment to go there. When I got there I was treated with respect and kindness. I saw a doctor right away and he said that I was probably suffering from manic depression but that I shouldn’t worry, it was treatable.
